New culture commissioner pledges to boost Anambra ourism

Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment, Udoji Amedu, has pledged to reposition the state as a leading tourism destination in Nigeria.
Speaking during a reception held in his honour after his swearing-in, Amedu said his ministry would work towards unlocking the untapped potentials of tourism sites across the state, including the Ogbunike Caves, Owelle Ezukala Waterfall and Anam Sand Beach.
He said the ministry would introduce innovations aimed at making the tourism and entertainment sector more attractive under Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Solution 2.0 agenda.
Member representing Ayamelum Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Bernard Udemezue, described Amedu as a respected political leader and stakeholder in the state, while appreciating the governor for the appointment.
Others who spoke at the event, including Deputy Chairman of Ayamelum LGA, Felicia Oruya, and university don, Arinze Obiorah, expressed confidence in Amedu’s leadership and urged him to bring innovation and development to the ministry.
