Governor Chukwuma Soludo has urged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to Anambra to use their service year to make a positive and lasting impact.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2026 Batch A Stream II at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Unity Orientation Camp in Awka South, Soludo encouraged corps members to embrace discipline, participate fully in camp activities, and build strong relationships with host communities.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth Development, the governor said their contributions would strengthen national unity and support key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment.

He assured them of adequate security and welfare, noting that the state has partnered with security agencies and NYSC officials to ensure their safety.

Earlier, State Coordinator Pauline Ojisua disclosed that 2,300 corps members—1,080 males and 1,220 females—were registered for the orientation. She urged strict compliance with NYSC rules and highlighted the importance of the orientation course in building discipline, teamwork, and self-reliance through the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.
