The Anambra State Police Command has successfully resolved the reported case involving the alleged missing vehicle belonging to a kidnap victim, a matter that recently sparked widespread public concern following the circulation of a viral video on social media.
According to the Command, findings from its investigation helped clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and guided subsequent actions taken in line with due process and professional policing standards.
The Police confirmed that the vehicle in question has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner, while investigations into other aspects of the case are still ongoing.
The Command also appreciated human rights advocates, social media users, and concerned members of the public who closely monitored the investigation and demanded justice and accountability throughout the process.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and professionalism, the Police noted that constructive criticism, useful feedback, and objective public engagement remain essential to improving policing operations and strengthening accountability within the system.
The Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, assured residents of Anambra State that the Command remains dedicated to protecting lives and property while sustaining public confidence through responsive, people-oriented, and professional policing.
