Celebrity businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, has denied taking part in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.

The socialite, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, said he voluntarily withdrew from the race after discussions with Governor Hope Uzodimma over the party’s zoning arrangement.

According to him, the APC leadership maintained that Orlu Local Government Area should complete its turn before the seat rotates to another area.

Cubana Chief Priest explained that although he was dissatisfied with the performance of the current lawmaker, Canice Nwachukwu, he respected the party’s decision and stayed away from the primary venue entirely.

He also dismissed claims that he was indebted to supporters over the failed bid, insisting that the aspiration was his personal decision.

The businessman reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and pledged continued support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
