Court condemns gospel singer Osinachi’s husband to death for killing wife

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Wuse Zone 2 has convicted Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer, Osinachi, of culpable homicide in connection with her death on April 8, 2022.

The Sun reports that Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme delivered the guilty verdict on Monday, following a trial initiated by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (OAGF).

The federal government charged Nwachukwu with 23 counts, including culpable homicide punishable by death, criminal intimidation, cruelty to children, and spousal battery.

The court found him guilty of causing Osinachi’s death through acts of violence and aggravated assault.
