A legal practitioner, Barr. Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam, has declared his intention to represent Ihiala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Maduakolam, who is seeking the ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), said his ambition is driven by the need to end what he described as years of poor representation and neglect in the constituency.

In a statement, he said Ihiala deserves leadership that is present, accountable and focused on results, noting that residents have been remembered only during elections.

He pledged to prioritise youth empowerment, education, agriculture and enterprise, adding that his vision is to build a creative and productive local economy.
The aspirant also cited his JAMIE Programme as evidence of his commitment to grassroots development, promising to attract federal presence and strategic partnerships to the area.
He described the 2027 election as a defining moment for Ihiala people to choose purposeful leadership over continued neglect.
