The South East Elders and Youths Alliance for Tinubu 2027 (SEEYAT ’27) heartily commends President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary approval of the establishment of a new Nigerian Army Depot in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
This landmark decision, which brings the total number of army training depots in Nigeria to three, underscores Mr. President’s unwavering commitment to equitable national development, inclusive governance, and the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
SEEYAT ’27 is particularly excited that this strategic military facility is sited in the South-East geopolitical zone. For decades, the region has yearned for increased federal presence in critical national infrastructure. This approval decisively responds to that aspiration and strengthens the bond of inclusion and national belonging among our people.
The new depot will significantly expand the Nigerian Army’s training capacity, enabling the production of thousands of well-trained troops annually to confront Nigeria’s prevailing security challenges more effectively.
For the South-East, the benefits are far-reaching. The depot promises economic revitalization through job creation, infrastructural development, and increased commercial activities. It will also enhance regional security response times, promote stability, and contribute to lasting peace.
At the national level, this development strengthens the manpower base of the armed forces, improves operational effectiveness across all zones, and reinforces national unity through the balanced distribution of critical defence assets.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bold and purposeful leadership continues to unite Nigerians and deliver tangible progress. This approval stands as yet another testament to his promise of renewed hope for all.
God bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Army, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
