The President-General of Nkwelle Ezunaka Town Union in Oyi Local Government Area, Ogbuefi Sir Vitalis Nwakobi, has commended Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, for what he described as remarkable achievements across the state.
Speaking while congratulating the Governor on his 66th birthday, Nwakobi praised Soludo’s performance in road infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, security, and improved internally generated revenue (IGR).
He particularly lauded the ongoing construction of the Onitsha–3-3–Nkwelle–Otuocha Expressway, saying the project would boost economic activities and further strengthen Nkwelle Ezunaka’s position as a major urban community.
While expressing appreciation, the community leader appealed to the Governor to extend development to the town’s inland areas by rehabilitating key rural roads, constructing a general hospital, and upgrading one of the community’s secondary schools into a smart school.
Reflecting on his seven months in office, Nwakobi said his administration had restored peace by reconciling warring factions over land disputes and curbing land grabbing through youth engagement and empowerment initiatives.
He added that his leadership had also strengthened community security, revived environmental sanitation, and rehabilitated the town hall.
According to him, Nkwelle Ezunaka is now more peaceful, with improved cooperation between the community leadership, youths, and the traditional ruler.
