Anambra Police deploy 60 safe school operatives for 2026 JAMB exams to ensure security, orderliness


The Anambra State Police Command has deployed sixty Safe School Operatives across designated examination centres in preparation for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, scheduled to hold from April 15 to 26, 2026.


According to the Command, the operatives will be strategically stationed across the eight Police Area Commands in Anambra State, with operations coordinated by the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, ACP Harrison Oruruo.

The deployment is part of proactive security measures under the Safe School Initiative aimed at ensuring a secure and orderly examination environment.


The initiative is designed to protect candidates, invigilators, and examination officials while preventing any form of malpractice, disruption, or security breach during the exercise.


The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said that the Command remains committed to safeguarding lives and property across the state.

He also urged candidates, parents, and other stakeholders to remain law-abiding and fully cooperate with security personnel deployed to various centres.


The Command reaffirmed that adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and credible examination process throughout the period.
