The Anambra State Government has called on residents to provide credible information on pastors, churches and other self-acclaimed religious leaders involved in criminal activities, fraud, extortion, deception or acts that threaten public safety.
Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Law Mefor, said the initiative is part of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s efforts to combat criminality and sanitize religious and traditional practices across the state.
According to the government, the campaign, which follows its crackdown on fake native doctors, aims to protect genuine religious worship while exposing criminals operating under the guise of faith.
Residents with useful information are encouraged to report through +2348034182108 or 5111, with assurances that all reports will be treated confidentially.
