Comrade Chuka Okoye

An activist, Comrade Chuka Okoye, has faulted the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over its handling of the leadership crisis in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), warning it could create a political vacuum.
Okoye said INEC’s decision to maintain “status quo ante bellum” by removing the David Mark-led leadership and refusing to recognize any faction has effectively paralysed the party.
He argued that the move undermines the ADC’s ability to function and participate in the democratic process, raising concerns ahead of the 2027 elections.
Okoye urged INEC to review its stance and called for a speedy court resolution of the dispute.
