The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, has charged party members to embrace teamwork, unity and aggressive grassroots mobilisation to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.

Nwankwo gave the charge during the inauguration of the Awka South Campaign Council at the Awka South Local Government Secretariat, where party faithful gathered to strategise for the success of APGA candidates contesting National Assembly seats covering the council area.

The event attracted APGA candidates, including Hon. Obi Nwankwo, who is seeking election to the House of Representatives for Awka North and South Federal Constituency; Samuel Nwofor, representing Awka South State Constituency A; and Pharm. Makuochukwu Egbutu, candidate for Awka South State Constituency B, among others.

Nwankwo described the inauguration as a significant step towards strengthening the party’s campaign machinery, harmonising strategies and boosting its chances of electoral victory.

He expressed confidence that unity of purpose, collective commitment and effective grassroots mobilisation would position APGA for success in the forthcoming elections.

The senatorial candidate urged members of the newly inaugurated council to remain dedicated to their responsibilities, make the necessary sacrifices and take the party’s message to voters across the various polling units.

He also pledged his commitment to attracting the dividends of democracy and developing human capital if elected, stressing that the campaign council members were critical to achieving the party’s political objectives.

Nwankwo further emphasised the importance of building stronger relationships with the electorate, noting that he had been engaging stakeholders and developing strategies to secure victory at the polls.

He urged the campaign team to sustain its engagement with communities and ensure that the party’s programmes and vision reached the people at the grassroots.

In his remarks, Hon. Obi Nwankwo highlighted his contributions to the development of Anambra State during his years in public service.

He called on the inaugurated campaign council members to prioritise unity, integration and grassroots mobilisation, describing them as essential ingredients for electoral success.

Obi Nwankwo also urged party members to maintain high morale despite challenges, forgive past misunderstandings and resolve grievances through dialogue rather than allowing internal differences to undermine the party’s chances.

The inauguration marked another phase in APGA’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, with party leaders stressing the need for unity, effective coordination and sustained engagement with voters to achieve their electoral ambitions.
