Usyk explains key difference between Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury

Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has shared his thoughts on the key difference between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury after beating both British heavyweights twice.

According to the Ukrainian, Joshua is a more conventional boxer who follows a classic fighting style, while Fury is much more unpredictable and difficult to read in the ring.

Speaking to FightHype, Usyk said: “Anthony is more of a classic fighter, but Fury is like a street fighter. Every round is unpredictable.”

Usyk stunned the boxing world in 2021 by defeating Joshua to claim the unified heavyweight titles before successfully defending them in their rematch.

He later cemented his legacy by defeating Fury twice in 2024, becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion and strengthening his reputation as one of the greatest heavyweights of his generation.

The 39-year-old also revealed that he began studying Fury long before their first fight, saying his preparations started even before his official training camp opened.
