Prepare for your future today, Otti tells Umuchu learners

Umuchu-born businessman and Founder of Mighty Mighty Education Foundation, High Chief Abraham Ikechukwu Otti, has urged beneficiaries of his education grants to remain focused on their studies and prepare themselves for future leadership.


Otti, popularly known as Mighty Mighty, Ikenga n’Umuchu, gave the charge during the 3rd edition of the Mighty Mighty Education Grant held at Community School, Achalla, Umuchu.


He said the initiative was established to support learners at primary, secondary and tertiary levels and help them become useful to themselves, their families and society.


“I will be very happy to see you in the next 20 to 30 years coming and gladly saying that you were motivated and inspired by my words to you today,” Otti said.


He also urged the beneficiaries to remember their roots and take care of their parents in old age.


The Director-General of the foundation, Chief Chimezie Ikeh, said Otti believes quality education is the first form of empowerment for every child. He urged the beneficiaries to remain focused on their academic pursuits.


President-General of Umuchu Community, Hon. Ifeanyi Emegwa, described the programme as a testament to Otti’s philanthropy, noting his contributions to education, healthcare, security and community development.


In the tertiary category, Nnamdi Jondab Okafor, a 200-level Pharmacy student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, won the first prize of N2 million. Chidiebube Onyebueke won N1 million for second place, while Emmanuel Iheadibe received N500,000 for third place.


In the secondary category, Ugochukwu Jah-Amaka of Government Technical College, Umuchu, won N1 million, while Ifechukwu Okonkwo and Chinwendu Ibedu received N800,000 and N500,000 respectively.


For primary schools, Onyinye Onuegbu of Central School, Umuchu, won N800,000. Precious Uba received N600,000, while Albert Eziamara Blessing won N400,000.
The foundation also gave N100,000 each to 20 tertiary students, N50,000 each to 150 secondary school students and N40,000 each to 150 primary school pupils.


The beneficiaries thanked Otti for the gesture and prayed for his long life and good health. Dancing competitions and prize presentations formed part of the highlights of the event.
