Igada Oba pledges transparent, accountable, inclusive governance for Idemili South

A Chairmanship aspirant of Idemili South Local Government Area in Anambra State under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon. Engr. Augustine Ejibendu, popularly known as Igada Oba, has outlined a bold vision anchored on transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in governance.

Speaking on his aspiration to lead Idemili South as Mayor, Ejibendu emphasized that his administration would be guided by open leadership, prudent management of public resources, and the active involvement of citizens in decision-making processes. 

He described transparent governance as the foundation for restoring public trust and ensuring that government actions remain visible, verifiable, and beneficial to the people.

According to him, accountability would be a central pillar of his leadership style, with clear mechanisms to track public spending, monitor project execution, and evaluate the performance of officials and departments under his administration.

 He pledged to ensure that public funds are used strictly for community development, infrastructure improvement, and social welfare, rather than being lost to waste or mismanagement.

Igada Oba further explained the importance of inclusivity in governance, noting that every segment of Idemili South, youths, women, traditional institutions, professionals, artisans, and vulnerable groups, would have a voice in shaping the local government’s policies and priorities. 

He promised to create platforms for community engagement, feedback, and collaboration to ensure that governance reflects the collective aspirations of the people.
