Guber 2025: ‘Gov Soludo has done enough for opponents to step down for him’, say Anambra Okada riders

The Chairman of Motorcycle Transport Welfare Association, Anambra State, Comrade Jude Udegbe has expressed the readiness of commercial motorcyclists otherwise known as Okada riders in the State to give massive support to Governor Charles Soludo’s second tenure bid.

Comrade Udegbe gave the promise when he spoke to nijasun.com Sunday on Anambra politics.

He said that the ticket to Governor Soludo for second tenure is a welcome development, adding that the Governor has demonstrated his capacity in his developmental efforts.

“We have all seen what he is doing doing in road infrastructure. Okada riders now have access to every nook and cranny due to availability of motorable roads. We have easy movement now and we are grateful to His Excellency. He is indeed a working Governor.

“We appeal to both Anambra indigenes and non-indigenes to rally behind the Governor by giving him a massive support to ensure he completes his second tenure.

*It’s my humble opinion that political opponents from other political parties should step down for Soludo to try again after the Governor’s eight years, “he said.

Comrade Udegbe cited adequate security within Anambra with the establishment of homeland security law as among the areas the Governor has done well.

He appealed to handlers of  security architecture in the State to be more dedicated to duties and assured that the Okada riders would be of assistance to them, to make information available where necessary in the spirit of “if you see something, say something”.

He, however, appealed for confidentiality for any information given to the security operatives by the Okada riders.

“We as an association are doing our best to assist the security apparatus, to give information where needed to ensure their smooth operations.

“We say something, when we see something and we have standard disciplinary measures to checkmate our members. We don’t allow in bad eggs in our midst, “he added.
