Spiritual Superintendent of Mercy Of God Ministries (MGM) Awka, Anambra State based Headquarters of the intercessory Church, Major Prophet Augustine Obi, has traced the root of most people’s problems to their families’ evil foundations.
Ministering on Sunday service topic: “Breaking Family’s Evil Foundation”, the firm and effervescent cleric led the congregation to read through Books of: Lamentations Chapter 5 verses 7 — 11: Our ancestors sinned and it’s attendant suffering is here with us… Psalms 11:3 — What option has a good man when a structure collapsed from its foundation; Judges 6:25 — 27 —

Driving home the message of his sermon, Prophet Obi stated inter alia: “We all come from families, and family is the unit of the society.
If each family is alright then, the society at large is okay. But this is not the case. There are faulty, evil foundations prevailing in some families and there emanate most of our problems.
So, we must ask questions and unraveled facts about our families’ history with the view to tackle the problems from its sources… even as the operators of our systems weren’t encouraging history studies which aided our past national mistakes to fester…
“You must know the history of your family foundation and what perennially afflicts your family members.There’re blood patterns and illnesses running in some families which offsprings inherit. In some families, premature death, barrenness, poverty and broken marriages prevail.
“While in some others, waywardness, drunkenness, unmarriageable, roguery, and such other vices hold sway.
“But here are steps you must take to break free from family evil foundations:
1) Study the history of your family foundation. Know what afflictions run through your lineage. Make fervent effort to not allow what killed or stopped others to affect you too.
2) Hit your findings with prayers. A prayer less Christian is powerless and cannot dominate nor possess his possession. If there’s a man to pray then, there’s God to answer.
3) Obey prophetic instructions. Locate your Prophet, follow his instructions and you’ll be established. When God wants to save a nation, He sends His Prophet to deliver His message. In the case of Nineveh, when they harkened to the Jonas’ message, and repented of their sins, they were saved.
4) Back up your prayers with sacrifices. What gives altars power is blood sacrifices. Christ’s blood is a redemptive sacrifice for us yet we must serve and make sacrifices in the House of God. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit therefore, you shouldn’t manage sickness, for what you allowed, you accommodate…
5) More importantly, run away from sin. Once in Christ Jesus, you must do away with your past secret sins; become brand new fellow, carrying your cross to follow the narrow path… you can’t be local and your children become local too. Stop what afflicted others not to afflict you too. Sacrifice to be the Joseph of your family.
“Now, bring out your sand. Raise it up. Our prayers must be strategic. Whoever walks on the sand or whatever operates on or inside it, that works against your well being, if I hear your loudest Amen you break free from any of such bondage or afflictions Now! “Amen!!” rent the air.
“Face the direction of your father’s compound, put your sand on the floor and stand on it. Pray against your family’s evil foundation and an ancestral altars mitigating your progress and well being…
“Finally, come to the altar with your sand and seed. I decree and declare: you’re free from faulty foundations, evil altars and ancestral curses in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, “the worshippers concurred with a deafening Amen, even as the fiery clergyman instructs that the sand should be sprinkled wherever for progress and not for finding trouble.
