In preparation for her upcoming 100 days in office celebration, the visionary and indefatigable rector of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, embarked on a comprehensive inspection tour of key developmental projects across both the main campus in Oko and the Ufuma satellite campus.

The inspection, which took place on Saturday, May 17, was conducted in the company of some members of the management team and a few critical stakeholders.

The tour was designed, not merely as a ceremonial activity, but as a rigorous evaluation exercise to assess the quality, pace, and scope of ongoing projects under her leadership.

With a keen eye for detail and a reputation for excellence, Dr. Awuzie engaged directly with project supervisors and site engineers, asking probing questions and requesting clarifications on technical specifications.

Her perfectionist approach was evident as she offered on-the-spot recommendations and solicited professional advice from her team to ensure that projects meet institutional standards, and that they are completed within the targeted timeframe, just two weeks ahead of their official commissioning.

From infrastructural upgrades to academic facility enhancements, the breadth and ambition of the projects speak volumes of the rector’s dynamic vision for transforming the polytechnic’s learning environment.

Observers described the level of work already accomplished within her short time in office as both impressive and inspiring.

“This tour is not just to check progress,” Dr. Awuzie remarked during one of the site briefings.

“It is about setting a new benchmark for accountability, excellence, and delivery in leadership. Our polytechnic deserves nothing less.”
