Spiritual Superintendent of Intercessory Mercy of God Ministries International, Awka, Anambra State, Major Prophet Augustine Onyeka Obi, celebrated his birthday on Sunday at Aguoye, Awka Headquarters of the Church which coincided with its Women Wing’s Annual Convention.

Delivering a sermon on the theme: “Women Of Influence: A Solid Fulcrum Of The Christian Family”, Mommy General, Pst, Mrs Vivian Austin Obi, ex-rayed how mothers’ support for their husbands keeps home front in peace and unity: “Virtuous women’s conducts and commitment mirror the love and harmony of our homes and Christian families”, she emphatically averred at the end of her inspiring message.

Whereas the Lagos based Guest Minister, Bishop, Dr Osaka, impressed by the homily of Pst, Mrs Obi, wished he had come along with his own wife… further delivered his message of “Covenant Blessings” referencing Prov 10:22… “Blessings of the LORD that make you rich without adding sorrow… Deut 28:1– 6 (destroy your enemy)… Obey the LORD God and keep His Commandments… and the LORD will bless everything you do”.
Bishop Osaka further revealed to the enthralled congregation the three keys to receiving covenant blessings embedded in Ps 133:1–2, Exo 23:1–4, and Gen 27:1–4 as he declared: “Ogaranya enweghi onye oso-nso. You’re privileged to be here. By the mandate of this Commission, I bless you, your families and undertakings.
Any sickness or bondage weighing you down will disappear now. Any enemy troubling you shall run away from you henceforth in Jesus mighty name”… with the chorus of “Amen” from the worshippers, Bishop Osaka called the inspired people to the altar for his prayers of covenant blessings even as he asked those with “Venison” to write it down and drop at the altar.
The 3-prong service was graced by members and associates from far and near including members from Asaba Branch of the Church led by Pst Blessed Okonkwo, Aguleri Branch led by Pst Emma Emeka, while the host Pst Okey Joseph Nnebe coordinated the colourful programs of the events that included the 2025 Mercy of God Women’s Convention activities viz: Recitation of customized 10 Commandments, Need and importance of consuming fruits and vegetables, March pass, Gospel drama, Igbo news and Fashion parade.
Cutting of the Daddy General’s birthday cake, anchored by Pst Blessed Okonkwo, climaxed the events as the fiery cleric, known for the potency of his prophesy and who prided himself for not burying any of his Church members so far, even as he, penultimate Sunday, prayed over envelopes containing number of ages members wanted to live, stepped out… Major Prophet Obi were generously appreciated as he cut his birthday cake flanked by his wife and children, and danced to the happy birthday melody rendered by the Church Band.
He conclusively blessed the elated audience even as he called out names of Men’s Wing that contributed to the success of the celebration enthusing:”Whoever gives a Prophet a cup of water, will benefit from the Prophet’s reward. I’ll continue to pray for your well being”.
