The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency, Chief Barr. Prince Chukwudi Oli, has urged women of Enugwu-Ukwu community to promote peace, unity, love and good morals in their homes and society.
Oli, popularly known as Oba Ezeafia, made the call while attending the annual August Meeting of Enugwu-Ukwu women at Obu Umunri Hall over the weekend.
The event was attended by the traditional ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu, HRH Igwe Sir Ralph Ekpeh, among other members of the community.
Addressing the women, Oli described them as important pillars of the family and agents of peace and positive change.
He urged them to promote understanding, tolerance and love, stressing that peaceful homes are essential to building peaceful communities.
He also encouraged mothers to serve as good role models for their children by demonstrating honesty, discipline, kindness, respect and other positive values.
According to him, the strength of any community depends largely on the quality of its families, urging the women to avoid divisions and continue supporting one another.
Oli commended the women for sustaining the annual August Meeting, describing it as an important platform for strengthening relationships, preserving cultural values and discussing issues affecting families and community development.
He urged them to remain ambassadors of peace in their homes, churches and the wider society.
The Enugwu-Ukwu monarch commended Oli for attending the gathering and supporting the women. He also prayed for his success and bestowed his royal blessing on him.
