A youth group, Moghalu Youth Ambassadors, has sent a resounding congratulations to Chief Dr. George Moghalu,
Labour Party candidate for the November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra for his official enlistment as the candidate of the LP by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC, on Saturday, released names of 16 candidates and their running mates as submitted by their respective political parties for the forthcoming governorahip election, enlisting Dr. George Moghalu and Engr Alex Okoye as governorahip candidate and deputy governorahip candidate of LP respectfully.

The group, in a statement at the weekend, praised the immediate past Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) for his gallant feat.

The statement reads in part, “With hearts full of joy and pride, we, the Moghalu Youth Ambassadors, extend our warmest congratulations to you on your official publication by INEC as the Labour Party’s governorship candidate for Anambra state.

“This moment is not just a political milestone — it is a divine affirmation of your long-standing dedication, tireless service, and unwavering integrity. It is the fruit of years spent walking the path of honour, listening to the heartbeat of the people, and standing firm in your resolve to build a better Anambra.

“Your candidacy is a symbol of hope for the youths, a call to action for patriots, and a beacon for every Anambra son and daughter, who dreams of a state that thrives in justice, opportunity, and progress.”

The group further assured that it will stand by Moghalu throughout the election process – daring whatever it takes.

“As you step forward into this defining chapter, know that you do not walk alone. We stand with you — a new generation inspired by your leadership, ready to work, ready to serve, and ready to march with you into a future where our dear state takes its rightful place as a model of good governance and sustainable development.

“The future is bright. The mission is clear. The time is now. Congratulations once again, our leader, our mentor, our incoming Governor.”
