Dr Alex Obiogbolu
By Isaac Ojo
Ahead of the May 23 APGA primaries for the National Assembly elections, senatorial aspirant for Anambra North, Dr Alex Obiogbolu, has pledged to end what he described as a culture of broken promises in the zone.
Speaking to journalists in Onitsha, Obiogbolu criticized politicians who make grand campaign promises but fail to deliver after securing votes. He said such practices have weakened public trust in leadership.
A former Special Adviser to Governor Charles Soludo on Political Matters, Obiogbolu noted that even those who attempt to fulfill their promises often do so inadequately.
He assured constituents that his election in 2027 would usher in effective and practical empowerment, moving beyond token gestures like distribution of items during campaigns.
Obiogbolu pointed to his past record, including employing over 4,000 workers as Chairman of the Anambra State Local Government Commission in 1999, as evidence of his capacity to deliver.
He promised credible, responsive, and people-focused representation in the Senate if elected.
