Anambra-born human rights lawyer and lead counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has been nominated for the Creek Multimedia Most Outstanding Human Rights Lawyer of the Year 2026 Award.
The nomination, conveyed in a letter signed by Creek Multimedia Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Oluwadamilare Daniels, recognizes Ejiofor’s contributions to human rights advocacy and the promotion of the rule of law.
The award presentation is scheduled for October 24, 2026, in Lagos.
Reacting to the nomination, Ejiofor described the recognition as another milestone in his human rights advocacy, attributing it to God’s grace.
He thanked Creek Multimedia for the honour and said the nomination reflected years of commitment to defending the vulnerable and pursuing justice.
He also expressed appreciation to his family, colleagues, supporters, and well-wishers for their unwavering support, pledging to continue the fight for justice and the protection of human dignity.
