The Ohaigbo Community Development Initiative (OCDI), also known as SEDAC, has intensified efforts to mobilize grassroots leaders across the South-East to drive infrastructure, human capital and economic development in the region.
The move was announced during the presentation of flags and emblems to the organization’s five state coordinators at its First National Executive Summit and the unveiling of its 2026–2031 Strategic Roadmap in Awka, Anambra State.
The summit had the theme, “Raising Grassroots Ambassadors for Impact in Alaigbo.”
Speaking at the event, OCDI Visionary Leader and National President, Hon. Ambassador David Okwudiri, said the organization aims to mobilize all 95 local government areas in the South-East to transform the region into a major investment destination.
He said the group would focus on youth and women empowerment, agriculture, innovation, ICT, SMEs and community-based economic development while partnering with governments and the private sector to improve livelihoods.
Okwudiri urged coordinators to build strong grassroots structures, stressing that unity and community participation remain key to sustainable regional development.
The Director of Legal Services, Barr. Precious Chukwu, said OCDI is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and is committed to promoting peace, regional integration and community welfare.
The newly inaugurated state coordinators from Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States pledged to expand the organization’s presence and mobilize communities to achieve its development goals.
