Nnewi-born ACP Anabuike’s promotion sparks fresh hope as Anambra Police urge youths to join force

The Anambra State Police Command has described the promotion and decoration of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nnamdi Anabuike as a major milestone that will inspire more young people in the state to pursue careers in the Nigeria Police Force.


The Command said ACP Anabuike, who hails from Nnewi North Local Government Area, was decorated at the Nigeria Police Force Zone 13 Headquarters on July 24, 2026, by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, AIG Godwin Iguh Eze, psc(+).


In a statement issued on Saturday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command described the elevation as a source of pride not only for Nnewi North but for the entire Anambra State.


According to the statement, the promotion reflects the vast opportunities available in the Nigeria Police Force for officers who distinguish themselves through dedication, discipline, professionalism and commitment to duty.


The Command expressed optimism that ACP Anabuike’s achievement would motivate more Anambra youths to embrace policing as a noble profession dedicated to protecting lives and property, promoting justice and contributing to national development.


While congratulating the newly promoted ACP on his elevation, the Command wished him greater success in his service to the nation.


It also urged young people across the state to remain focused, uphold integrity and take advantage of the career opportunities available in the Nigeria Police Force.
