Women from Umuota village in Obosi have declared strong support for Dr Kene Igboebisi, an aspirant for the Idemili North and South Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Operating under the umbrella of Umuada Umuota, the women unanimously endorsed Dr. Igboebisi, pledging to mobilize grassroots backing to ensure his victory in the party primaries.
The group praised the aspirant’s long-standing commitment to youth and women empowerment, noting that his scholarship and support initiatives over the past decade have positively impacted many lives. According to them, several beneficiaries of his programs have been redirected from social vices toward productive ventures.
Speaking during the gathering, a prominent member of the group, popularly known as “Abadagu,” expressed confidence in Igboebisi’s leadership capacity, describing him as a candidate capable of delivering effective and people-oriented representation.
An APGA stalwart and one of the Ndi Ichie of Obosi, Chief Omezie Chukwurah (Oshaa Obosi), who hosted the women, urged them to return to their respective wards and register as party members.
He emphasized that obtaining the APGA membership card would enable them to actively participate in the primaries and support the candidacy.
In his response, Dr. Igboebisi thanked the women for their endorsement and assured them of his commitment to attracting meaningful development projects to the constituency if elected.
He also reiterated his focus on policies and programs aimed at improving the welfare of women and enhancing their role in community development.
