The Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA) has praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his continued investment in the health sector, saying his administration’s reforms have positioned the state to attract major public health interventions.

Executive Director of ANSACA, Dr. Nkem Okeke, made the commendation after the successful recruitment of personnel for the forthcoming Nationwide Integrated Biological and Behavioural Surveillance Survey (IBBSS).

He said the governor’s commitment to strengthening healthcare has enhanced Anambra’s capacity to partner with national and international health organisations.

Okeke also commended the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), the Federal Ministry of Health and the West Africa Centre for Public Health and Development for ensuring a transparent recruitment process.

Anambra is among the 12 states selected for the nationwide survey, which will generate vital data to improve HIV prevention, treatment and healthcare planning across Nigeria.
