Southeast APC Reps primaries: Uzodimma hailed as Arodiogbu unveils winners

Across Five States Ahead of 2027 Battle
The National Vice-Chairman (South-East) of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has applauded the peaceful and successful conduct of the party’s House of Representatives primaries across the five Southeast states, describing the exercise as a major victory for internal democracy and party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.


In a statement issued on Monday in Owerri, Dr. Arodiogbu said the primaries were transparent, orderly, and witnessed massive participation by party faithful across the region.


The APC chieftain particularly commended Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State and leader of the party in the Southeast, for his strategic leadership and unwavering support, which he said ensured the smooth and credible conduct of the exercise.


According to Arodiogbu, Governor Uzodimma’s commitment provided the needed framework for a hitch-free primary process that further strengthened the APC in the region.


“Governor Uzodimma’s dedication to the party’s success in the Southeast has been exemplary. His support provided the necessary framework for a smooth and credible primary process,” he stated.


He also praised elected officials and party stakeholders across the zone for their discipline and exemplary conduct during the primaries while thanking APC members for turning out massively to participate in the democratic exercise.


Arodiogbu said the impressive turnout reflected renewed confidence in the APC’s leadership and vision for the Southeast.
He congratulated all victorious aspirants and urged them to remain humble in victory and committed to the party’s collective mission of securing massive victories in 2027.


The APC National Vice-Chairman further assured party faithful that the forthcoming Senatorial and Governorship primaries would also be conducted peacefully and transparently.


According to reports submitted by the party’s electoral committee and election monitors appointed by the National Working Committee, the following aspirants emerged victorious across the Southeast states:


Abia State


Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu (Bende), Hon. Nkiruka Onyejeocha (Isuikwuato/Umunneochi), Hon. Uzor Azubuike (Aba North/Aba South), Hon. Chinedum Orji (Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South), Hon. Uzoma Theodore Uka (Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South), Hon. Udo Alozie (Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo), and Hon. Ikenna Nicholas (Arochukwu/Ohafia).


Imo State


Ngozi Pat-Ekeji (Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala), Chukwudi Anyanwuocha (Ahiazu/Ezinihitte), Sandra Inyama (Ideato North/South), Canice Moore Nwachukwu Omeogo (Orlu/Orsu/Oru East), Jonas Okeke (Okigwe South), Uchenna Agasu (Okigwe North), Dibiagwu Eugene (Oguta/Ohaji-Egbema/Oru-West), Cosmos Maduba (Nkwerre/Nwangele/Isu/Njaba), Akarachi Amadi (Mbaitoli/Ikeduru), and Tochi Okere (Owerri).


Enugu State


Dr. F.S.A Uzor (Udi/Ezeagu), Hon. Mark Chidi Obetta (Nsukka/Igbo Eze South), Hon. Dennis Agbo (Igbo-Eze North/Udenu), Hon. Cornel Onwubuya (Uzo-Uwani/Igbo-Etiti), Chimobi Sam Atu (Enugu North/South), Nnolim Nnaji (Nkanu-East/West), Anayo Onwuegbu (Aninri/Oji River/Awgu), and Chijioke Edeoga (Enugu East/Isiuzo).


Ebonyi State


Nkemanma Kama (Ohanivo), Emmanuel Uguru (Abakaliki/Izzi), Eze Nwachukwu Eze (Ebonyi/Ohaukwu), Chinedu Ogah (Ezza South/Ikwo), Joseph Nwobasi (Ezza North/Ishielu), and Igariwey Idume Enwo (Afikpo/Edda).


Anambra State

Political observers say the successful conduct of the primaries has further boosted the APC’s momentum in the Southeast as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.
