Oraifite community in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State came to a standstill as family, kinsmen and Gordian faithful gathered to bid farewell to late Mrs. Georgina Uchechukwu Anierobi (née Okonkwo), fondly known as Eri Eto.

The 68-year-old matriarch was laid to rest in her husband’s compound at Olioba, Ibolo Unodu, in a ceremony marked by solemn tributes, cultural displays and strong community presence.

Officiating priests of the Gordian Religion described her as a devoted adherent whose life was defined by humility, discipline and service to humanity, urging her family to uphold her legacy.

Her first son, Ndubueze Alexander Anierobi (King), said she was a disciplinarian and a pillar of strength who instilled strong moral values in her children. The second son, Anierobi George Uchechukwu (Akajiofor Olioba), noted that she lived a life of generosity and sacrifice.

The event drew widespread attendance, reflecting the deep respect she earned. Many described her passing as a great loss not only to her family but to the entire Oraifite community.
