NPFL: South East SWAN congratulates Rangers International on league triumph

The South East zone of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has congratulated Rangers International F.C. on winning the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.


In a statement jointly signed by the Vice President of the zone, Ikemefuna Asika, and the Zonal Secretary, Kennedy Onwunali, the association described the achievement as a reward for hard work, discipline and consistency throughout the football season.


SWAN commended the players, coaching crew and management of the club for remaining focused despite strong competition from other teams in the league.


The association particularly praised the club management under Barrister Amobi Ezeaku and the technical crew led by Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu for their commitment and proper planning which contributed to the successful campaign.


According to the statement, the league victory has once again confirmed Rangers International as one of the leading football clubs in Nigeria with a rich history in domestic football.


SWAN further urged the Enugu State Government to sustain and increase support for the team ahead of next season when the club will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League.


The association noted that adequate preparation and support would help the Flying Antelopes compete favourably at the continental stage and make both the state and the country proud.


SWAN also wished the team success in its future engagements and encouraged the players and officials to remain committed as worthy ambassadors of Nigerian football.
