Oil and gas business development consultant, Gini Chukwuma Williams, has emerged as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Idemili North and South Federal Constituency ahead of the 2026 election in Anambra State.
Williams secured victory during the ADC House of Representatives primary election held across the 24 wards in Idemili North and South LGAs.
Announcing the result in Awka, Chairman of the Anambra State ADC Electoral Committee and returning officer, Engr. Emeka Okolo, said Williams polled 5,391 votes to defeat Nnamdi Ifebi, who scored 1,406 votes, and Nnamdi Okoye, who got 721 votes.
Party members across both local government areas reportedly voted massively for Williams, who had earlier donated party offices in the wards as part of efforts to strengthen the ADC structure in the constituency.
The primary election was peaceful and witnessed the presence of security personnel and INEC officials.
In a statement, the Gini Williams Campaign Organisation thanked supporters, stakeholders, women and youth groups for their support, describing the victory as a collective win for the people of Idemili North and South.
