Ambassador Ikebunwa Lotanna, a prominent Nigerian entrepreneur and real estate investor, has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Real Estate Management and Corporate Governance by the European-American University, France.
The award ceremony took place at Ibis Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, drawing dignitaries, business executives, and professionals from across the country.
The recognition highlights Lotanna’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s real estate sector and his growing influence as a business leader.
Rising from humble beginnings as a realtor with PWAN, he built a strong reputation for integrity and performance, culminating in his recognition as Nigeria’s best-selling realtor in 2025.
Within that year, he recorded property sales exceeding ₦1.5 billion, marking one of the most notable achievements in the industry.
Following this success, he established Palms Realty and Investment Limited, a fast-growing real estate company that has expanded its footprint in Nigeria’s property market.
His excellence has also earned him local recognition, including the 2025 Real Estate Icon of the Year at the Nnewi Heroes Award.
Beyond business, Lotanna contributes to academia as a lecturer and actively promotes responsible leadership and corporate governance. His philanthropic efforts include a ₦1 million donation to the Nnewi Academic Congress to support indigent students across Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo.
He has also supported vulnerable communities through food distribution and financial assistance during festive periods, as well as collaborating with security agencies to ease traffic congestion in Nnewi.
Industry observers say his ability to combine business success with social impact reflects a leadership style centered on accountability, service, and measurable results.
The honorary doctorate further underscores his role as a key figure in Nigeria’s real estate sector and a growing voice in corporate governance and community development.
