Candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), in the November 8 governorahip election in Anambra state, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has sent a heartfelt congratulations to the Catholic Archbishop, and the Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, on the occasion of his 44th priestly ordination anniversary.
In a statement on Sunday, July 6, Chukwuma described Archbishop Okeke as a special priest, who have made decades of fervent sacrifices while working in the Lord’s vineyard.
Chukwuma highlighted the Archbishop’s unwavering commitment to his pastoral duties and his significant contributions to the spiritual growth of the Catholic community in Anambra and beyond. He praised Okeke for his dedication, leadership, and the positive impact he has had on countless lives throughout his ministry.
“On this momentous occasion of your 44th priestly anniversary, we celebrate not only your years of service but also the immense love and guidance you have provided to your congregation. Your exemplary life of faith, humility, and service continues to inspire many, and your efforts in promoting peace and unity in our society are commendable.
“On behalf of my family, my running mate, members of my party, Young Progressive Party (YPP), and all my associates, I extend my heartfelt good wishes to you, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, on the 44th anniversary of your priestly ordination. These 44 years have been fulfilling, fruitful, and faith-reassuring. You are an uncommon blessing to our generation, through your service in God’s vineyard. Bravo, Your Grace!!
“May God continue to fill you with good health, and spiritual blessings, as you move on in your sacerdotal mandate. Be rest-assured of our prayers,” Chukwuma stated.
The YPP gubernatorial candidate expressed hope that the archbishop would continue to be a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration for future generations. He encouraged the faithful to join in honoring Okeke’s legacy of devotion to God and humanity.
Chukwuma concluded by wishing Archbishop Okeke many more years of fruitful ministry and God’s blessings as he continues his sacred journey in serving the Church and its community.
