Governor Chukwuma Soludo has commissioned a newly constructed 200-seater pavilion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Unity NYSC Orientation Camp in Anambra State, donated by philanthropist and Managing Director of Markson De-Rock Ltd, Martins Ezeorji.

Speaking at the event, Soludo described the project as a clear demonstration of the donor’s commitment to youth development and nation-building. He urged corps members, who are the primary beneficiaries, to take responsibility for maintaining the facility while calling on other well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to emulate the gesture.

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General O.O. Nafiu, commended the initiative, noting that the pavilion reflects the impact of effective public-private partnership and corporate social responsibility.

He said the facility would significantly improve the quality of orientation programmes by providing a suitable venue for drills, ceremonies, and social activities.

Nafiu added that naming the pavilion after the governor symbolises recognition of his administration’s support for youth empowerment and infrastructure development in the state.

Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Pauline Ojisua, expressed appreciation to the donor, describing the project as a major milestone that enhances camp infrastructure and strengthens collaboration between the scheme and the private sector.

In his remarks, Ezeorji said the pavilion represents his contribution to national development and a show of confidence in Nigerian youths. He expressed optimism that the structure would inspire corps members and serve generations to come, while hinting at plans to replicate similar projects in NYSC camps across the country.
