The Inspector-General of Police, represented by the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, on Thursday paid his last respects to the late retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Emmanuel Ifeanyi Ezeozue, during his funeral ceremony in Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
CP Oji Ama joined senior police officers, family members, friends, colleagues and other dignitaries at the funeral, where he described the deceased as a distinguished police officer and accomplished public servant who made significant contributions to the Nigeria Police Force and served the country with dedication and commitment.
The Commissioner commiserated with the bereaved family, friends, colleagues and associates of the late AIG, noting that his years of dedicated service and contributions to policing would remain an enduring part of his legacy.
He prayed God Almighty to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
CP Oji Ama also appreciated serving and retired police officers, dignitaries and other well-wishers who honoured the departed senior officer, describing their presence as a demonstration of the enduring bond of comradeship and solidarity within the Nigeria Police Force.
The Anambra State Police Command joined the Nigeria Police Force and the Ezeozue family in mourning the passing of the retired AIG while celebrating his distinguished service, sacrifice and enduring legacy.
