Frontline aspirant of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for the forthcoming Anambra South senatorial by-election, High Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, has commended Governor Charles Soludo and Barr Sly Ezeokenwa, National Chairman of APGA, for their enviable leadership qualities that have brought the party to its present enviable hight.
Onunkwo, the chairman of Sea Horse Lubricants, and notable employer of labour gave the commendation last Sunday, on the occasion of Ezeokenwa’s thanksgiving at St. Jude’s Catholic church, Fegge, Onitsha, for his Supreme Court victory, as well as Mega Rally organized by Onitsha South Stakeholders Forum in support of Soludo’s re-election bid.
High Chief Onunkwo said that both Soludo and Ezeokenwa had exceptional leadership traits that make the party to excel in every ramification, and urged the party to support the two leaders, so that the dream of making APGA a formidable political party in all the 36 states of the federation and the federal capital territory will be realised.
He hailed the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed Ezeokenwa as national chairman, while saying that with the verdict, APGA will be on a better footing to continue to excel.
When asked about his chances of winning the senatorial by-election, if given APGA ticket, Onunkwo said that he has contributed greatly towards creating jobs to thousands of unemployed people in Anambra State, through his companies, offered scholarship opportunities to indecent students, built roads in rural communities, built houses for the poor and the homeless, among many other contributions to humanity.
He expressed determination that if given the opportunity to represent Anambra South at the 10th Senate, he would do more than he is doing presently.
He also assured that if he would succeed Senator Ifeanyi Ubah at the 10th Senate, he would sustain the late Senator’s legacies in terms of moving outstanding motions, and sponsoring bills that would help place the senatorial district on the threshold of development..
