The Anambra State Labour Party Governorship Candidate and Immediate Past Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief Dr. George Moghalu (Ohamadike), has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to his brother and friend, Chief Ifeanyi Ekwulugwo (Okaonye), the visionary Founder of the Iycon Foundation.

In his goodwill message, Chief Moghalu described Chief Ekwulugwo as “a man of many parts with a golden heart” — a passionate philanthropist, selfless leader, and true son of Nnewi whose life is defined by service to others.

He noted that Chief Ekwulugwo is not only a man of compassion but one with a deep and unwavering desire for the growth and development of his hometown, Nnewi. “Chief Ekwulugwo has consistently demonstrated his love for his community through impactful initiatives that touch lives. He is a man driven by a strong vision to see Nnewi thrive — socially, economically, and educationally. His investments in people, especially the youth, are a testament to his belief that true development begins with human capital,” Moghalu said.

One of the most remarkable expressions of this commitment, Chief Moghalu observed, is the Nnewi Youth Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Program — a transformative initiative funded with a generous sum of ₦250 million through the Iycon Foundation. The program is aimed at equipping young people with practical skills and entrepreneurial training to make them self-reliant and productive members of society.

Chief Moghalu applauded this milestone as a shining example of what community-focused leadership looks like. “Chief Ekwulugwo understands that empowering the youth is not just an act of charity, but a strategic step toward securing a better future for Nnewi. His legacy of giving, mentoring, and investing in people will be remembered for generations,” he stated.

He concluded by wishing Chief Ekwulugwo continued good health, strength, and divine guidance as he carries on his noble journey of service to humanity.
