Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Stanley Nkwoka, has appointed former Treasurer of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu, as Supervisory Councillor for Finance.
Presenting the appointment letter at the council headquarters in Ogidi, Nkwoka said the appointment was based on Onwumelu’s integrity, competence, and commitment to public service.
He charged the new appointee to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective financial management in the council.
Reacting, Onwumelu thanked the council chairman for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to discharge his duties diligently and uphold public trust.
Before the appointment, Onwumelu served as Special Adviser on Youth Mobilization, Empowerment and Development, as well as Media Aide to the council chairman.
