The Chairman of the Enugu Depot Unit of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Hon. Chinedu Anyaso, has been honoured with the prestigious Africa Illustrious Award as the South East Emerging Leader of the Year.
The Award came in recognition of his leadership, service and contributions to the development of the petroleum marketing sector in the South East zone and beyond.
Although the award was formally presented during the organisation’s ceremony last Saturday, Anyaso was unable to attend the event due to an official trip to Europe.
The honour was subsequently delivered to him on Thursday morning, bringing to a close a recognition that had already generated excitement among his associates and supporters.
In the nomination letter earlier sent to him, the organisers of the Africa Illustrious Award praised the achievements recorded under his leadership at IPMAN, particularly the Enugu Depot Unit’s efforts in advancing the welfare of independent petroleum marketers and supporting initiatives that impact positively on the wider community.
Receiving the award, Anyaso expressed profound gratitude to the organisers for the recognition, describing it as both humbling and inspiring.
He noted that the honour reflects the dedication, hard work and collective commitment of the entire IPMAN Enugu Depot leadership and membership.
“This award is not just about me. It is a recognition of the teamwork, sacrifice and commitment that have defined our service at IPMAN. I am deeply grateful to the organisers of the Africa Illustrious Award for finding me worthy of this honour,” he said.
Anyaso also paid tribute to members of his team for their unwavering support and contributions to the successes recorded by the association.
“I thank my team at IPMAN for their support and the great service they continue to render to the people and members of our community. This recognition will further inspire us to do more,” he added.
Observers say the award reflects Anyaso’s growing stature as a business leader and community-minded administrator whose influence continues to extend beyond the petroleum sector.
