Human rights lawyer and lead counsel for IPOB, Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has dedicated his Law Personality of the Year 2026 award to the pursuit of justice, the rule of law, and the defence of fundamental human rights.

Ejiofor received the honour at the Eminent Man of the Year Awards held on June 28, 2026, describing the recognition as both humbling and deeply gratifying.

In a statement titled “Wednesday Musings: A Day of Honour, Encomiums, and Global Recognition,” he said the award was a reassuring affirmation that steadfast commitment to justice, integrity, and service to humanity continues to receive meaningful recognition.

He recalled travelling to Lagos to attend the ceremony despite his demanding professional engagements, noting that the event brought together distinguished personalities from different sectors whose contributions to nation-building were celebrated.

Ejiofor expressed appreciation to the organisers, led by Rtn. Uchenna Chizoba, Chief Executive Officer of Eminent International Media World Limited, for considering him worthy of the prestigious honour.

According to him, the award is not the culmination of his journey but a renewed call to greater service.

He pledged to remain committed to deploying the instrumentality of the law to defend the oppressed, protect the vulnerable, uphold justice, and advance the cause of humanity.

The senior lawyer also thanked his friends, colleagues, associates, and well-wishers who attended the event and supported him over the years, saying the honour belongs to everyone who has stood by him.

He concluded by giving all glory to God for His grace, wisdom, and strength, while wishing Nigerians a fulfilling and rewarding new month.
