Dr Chioma Awuzie honoured as public servant of the year

The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, has been honoured with the Public Servant of the Year Award at the 2026 Anambra Man of the Year (AMTY) Awards in recognition of her outstanding leadership and contributions to the growth of the institution.


The award was presented on Saturday night in Awka, where the organisers praised Dr. Awuzie for her transformational leadership, commitment to academic excellence, infrastructural development, staff welfare, student empowerment, and institutional reforms.


Receiving the award, Dr. Awuzie expressed gratitude to the organisers, describing the recognition as a tribute to the collective efforts of the institution’s management, staff, and students.


She reaffirmed her commitment to sustaining purposeful leadership, promoting innovation, enhancing the learning environment, and advancing the Federal Polytechnic Oko as a centre of excellence.
