Integrity, welfare, excellence: New NMA Anambra leadership unveils strategic genda

The newly elected Executive Committee of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Anambra State Branch, has pledged to run an administration built on integrity, transparency, accountability, inclusiveness and excellence.


Speaking after the election at the association’s 2026 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference, the new Chairman, Dr. Ndubuisi Edwin Arua, promised to strengthen members’ welfare, promote professional development, deepen engagement with government and preserve the unity of the association.


Arua thanked members for their confidence, assuring them that his administration would build on the achievements of previous leaders through teamwork, accountability and purposeful leadership.


He urged members to support the new executive, stressing that the association’s progress would depend on collective commitment and active participation.


Other elected officers include Prof. Osita Umeononihu (Vice Chairman), Dr. Golibe Ikpeze (Secretary), Dr. Uzoma Okereke (Financial Secretary), Evuchiawe Chimobi (Treasurer), Dr. Ndubuisi Ibedu (Publicity Secretary), Dr. Augustine Anugoh (Welfare Officer), Dr. Faith Nnaji (Assistant Secretary), and Princeston Okam and Ifeanyi Obiaeli as Ex-Officio members.
