The Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Jonas Benson Okoye, has administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to over 252 parishioners of St. Hillary’s Catholic Church, Abubor Nnewichi, in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

During his maiden pastoral visit to the parish, Bishop Okoye urged the faithful to remain steadfast in their faith and continue trusting in God, assuring them that prayers offered with sincerity would be answered.

He commended the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. George Okoli, and parishioners for their dedication and commitment to the service of God, while also calling on the faithful to pray for clergymen in their spiritual duties.
In his remarks, Rev. Fr. Okoli described the Bishop’s visit as a blessing to the parish and thanked God for the successful event.

He also encouraged the newly confirmed candidates to remain faithful to the teachings of the Church.

Some parishioners, including the Vice Chairman of the Parish Council, Mr. C.Y. Owulu, and Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Nnadi Mark Chukwuebuka (MARKDON), praised the Bishop for the visit and commended the Parish Priest for the successful coordination of the programme.
