The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Idemili Federal Constituency has declared its readiness to deliver overwhelming votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s House of Representatives candidate for the constituency, Dr Kingsley Ezekwelu, in the 2027 general elections.

The declaration was made at Alor, the country home of former Anambra State Governor and former Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, as Ezekwelu commenced his “Thank You” tour of 17 communities in the constituency.

Speaking at the event held at the St Charles Catholic Church field, Alor, the APC Ward One Chairman, Nonso Okoye, and his Ward Two counterpart, Obi Anoruka, said the community had consistently demonstrated strong support for the APC.

They described Ngige as the political leader of Alor, stressing that his political influence and the voting strength of the community could not be ignored by politicians and political parties.

According to them, the massive turnout at the event demonstrated the commitment of APC members to securing what they described as “100 per cent votes” for Ezekwelu and the party in the 2027 elections.

Ezekwelu expressed confidence in the commitment of the people of Alor, while lamenting what he described as poor representation of the constituency over the past four years.

He said many constituents could hardly identify their representative or point to meaningful representation during the period.

“It is long enough that we take back our destiny into our hands and entrust it to a face and name we know,” Ezekwelu said.
He added: “A representative of one of the most populous constituencies in the country should not be missing in the crowd at any time or place.

“Idemili Federal Constituency deserves an ‘A’ grade always. So, today, we are heading back to the front seat. While at the chosen front seat, we will be in a position to participate in sharing and distributing the political and administrative goodies.”

The APC Chairman in Idemili South Local Government Area, Sunday Obidigbo, urged party members to keep their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) handy ahead of the 2027 elections.

He described the PVC as essential to political participation, urging eligible voters to ensure they were properly registered and ready to exercise their franchise.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the Ezekwelu Campaign Directorate, Chief Opisa Onyeka, described the candidate as a product of the political school of thought associated with Senator Ngige.

He said Ezekwelu had been under Ngige’s political tutelage and expressed confidence that he would replicate the former governor’s record of political success.
The campaign directorate expressed optimism that APC supporters in Alor would mobilise massively for both Ezekwelu and President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

The Alor Ward Two APC Women Leader, Lady Rita Ojukwu, offered prayers for President Tinubu, Ezekwelu and other APC candidates, seeking economic prosperity and continued peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

The event was attended by the Anambra State APC Vice Chairman (Central), Chief Anthony; Hon. Tony Ezekwelu; members of the Kingsley Ezekwelu Campaign Council; APC ward leaders and other party supporters from the community.
