The Anambra State Government has launched a new smart e-governance platform designed to make government services more accessible, transparent and responsive to citizens, businesses and investors.
The platform, launched on October 1, 2026, by the Anambra State ICT Agency, provides a central digital gateway through which residents and other users can access government services, obtain public information, make payments and communicate their concerns to relevant government agencies.
According to the agency, the new platform was developed to meet emerging digital needs and address limitations associated with the previous state government website.
The Managing Director of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), said the new platform was designed with citizens at the centre of its operations.
“The New Anambra State Government platform, launched on October 1, 2026, gives citizens, businesses, and investors one trusted starting point for engaging with the government,” Agbata said.
He explained that the platform was organised around users’ needs, enabling them to identify available government services, understand the requirements for accessing them, locate the offices responsible for their requests and connect with the appropriate Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
The platform also incorporates a feedback mechanism through which members of the public can raise governance concerns and seek clarification or assistance from relevant government authorities.
Agbata said the feedback feature was particularly important in ensuring that government information remained current while creating a channel for citizens to engage directly with government.
He said the objective was to “help people find answers, engage with their government and understand how their state works.”
Beyond service delivery, the new platform provides access to key public documents and information, including the state budget, audit reports, state laws, procurement procedures and other government records.
The digital portal, www.anambrastate.gov.ng, is expected to strengthen access to government information while supporting transparency, accountability and improved service delivery.
The initiative is also in line with Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration’s broader governance reform agenda, particularly its emphasis on digitalisation, transparency, accountability and efficiency in public service.
With the new platform, the state government is seeking to move more government-citizen interactions online, providing a single digital entry point for residents, businesses and investors seeking information or services from the Anambra State Government.
