The traditional ruler of Adazi-Ani Ancient Kingdom, Igwe Dr. Chinedu Benson Madubuko, has pledged to prioritise the development and welfare of his people, promising an era of unprecedented progress in the community.
Madubuko made the commitment shortly after his coronation as Eze Chinechendo I of Adazi-Ani, at a colourful ceremony that celebrated Igbo tradition, unity and community leadership.
The renowned businessman vowed to uphold the laws governing traditional institutions in Anambra State and place the interests of Adazi-Ani above personal interests.
He also promised to build on his previous contributions to the community, particularly in infrastructure, human capital development, peace and unity.
The President-General of Adazi-Ani Town Union, Prof. Obikwelu Raphael Okonkwo, said the crown represented responsibility, justice, wisdom and service, urging indigenes at home and abroad to support the new monarch.
Renowned businessman, Chief Godwin Okeke, described Madubuko as a lover of peace and unity, while the retired Archbishop of the Province of the Niger and former Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Rev. Godwin Okpala, commended his passion for community development.
The coronation was performed collectively by the three clans that make up Adazi-Ani and attracted traditional rulers, government representatives, clergy, business leaders and other dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond.
