The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra State has honoured five organisations and individuals with Outstanding Corps Employers’ Awards for their commitment to the welfare and development of corps members.
The awards were presented during the 2026 NYSC/Corps Employers’ Workshop held in Awka with the theme, “Fine-tuning Stakeholders’ Collaboration to Enhance Corps Members’ Welfare and Workplace Experience.”
Award recipients include Martin Ezeorji of Marston De-Rock Ltd (Most Supportive Partner Award); HRM Igwe Sir Benneth Emeka, Chairman of Chiben Beverages Ltd (Most Outstanding Corps Employer); Obinna Onuigbo of Premier Secondary School, Ogbunka; Pastor Mrs. Chidi Ebere of Olive Spring Secondary School, Onitsha; and Chief Evans Obi of White Dove Agro Allied Company Ltd, Ekwusigo (Outstanding Corps Employer Awards).
Representing the NYSC Director-General, Mrs. Victoria Ike-Nwosu urged employers to provide corps members with meaningful assignments, mentorship, safe working environments and opportunities for professional growth.
Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Patrick Agha Mba, reaffirmed the Anambra Government’s commitment to youth empowerment, while State Coordinator, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua, stressed that the success of the NYSC scheme depends on strong collaboration between the agency and corps employers.
She commended employers who continue to support corps members through quality supervision and conducive workplaces.
