Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State have declared support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Federal Constituency, Chief Chukwudi Oli.
The endorsement came during a consultative meeting between the group and Oli’s campaign organisation in Abagana.
Speaking on behalf of the group, its leader, Ozo Ejiamatu, said members decided to back Oli because of his commitment to community development and confidence in his ability to represent the constituency effectively.
He stressed that the group comprised members of different political parties and that their support was based on Oli’s perceived leadership qualities rather than party affiliation.
Also speaking, the group’s chairman, Mr. Onyenechi Ezeaso, clarified that the endorsement was only for Oli and did not amount to adopting all APGA candidates.
Responding, Oli thanked the group for the endorsement and pledged to provide accountable and transparent representation if elected.
He promised to prioritise the development of the constituency over personal interests.
Director-General of the campaign organisation, Hon. George Ozor, described the endorsement as a major boost to the campaign, expressing confidence in victory at the 2027 polls.
