Popular Catholic priest and Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Fr. Emmanuel Obinma, popularly known as Ebube Muonso, has distributed bags of rice and cash gifts to over 300 elderly persons in Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The beneficiaries, mostly aged 70 and above, also received their monthly financial support from the cleric.

Speaking during the outreach on Saturday, Obinma said the gesture was part of his longstanding commitment to caring for the elderly, whom he described as deserving of love, respect and support.

According to him, the programme has been running consistently for nearly four years and will continue for as long as he lives.

He urged young people to honour and care for older members of society, stressing that respect for elders attracts blessings and promotes societal values.

The cleric also announced plans to embark on a medical outreach next week, during which he intends to offset hospital bills for patients across selected hospitals at a cost of about N50 million.

The event featured prayers by the elderly beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude for the support and wished the priest continued blessings in his ministry.
