The trio emerged as flag-bearers for the Imo West Senatorial District, Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency, and Orlu State Constituency seats respectively ahead of the forthcoming elections.

In a press statement, High Chief Tony Okafor, popularly known as AC TONEK and a frontline candidate for the forthcoming election of the Imo State Towns Development Association, Lagos (ISTDAL), described their victories as well deserved and a reflection of the inclusiveness of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration.

According to him, “I, Hon. High Chief Anthony Okafor, Nwachinemere n’Owerre-Ebeiri and a frontline candidate for the forthcoming election of Imo State Towns Development Association, Lagos (ISTDAL), congratulate His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope O. Uzodimma, who emerged as APC flag-bearer for Imo West Senatorial seat; Rt. Hon. High Chief CaniceMoore C. Nwachukwu, candidate for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency; and my brother, Hon. Ambassador Magnus C. Okorie, candidate for Orlu State Constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly.”

Okafor further stated that the emergence of Magnus Okorie underscored what he described as the fairness of Governor Uzodimma’s “3R Administration” and the Imo Charter of Equity.

He noted that Owerre-Ebeiri INEC Ward had not previously produced key political office holders such as the Chairman of Orlu Local Government Area, members of the Imo State House of Assembly, or representatives at the National Assembly.

“The emergence of Hon. Amb. Magnus Okorie is a joyful development for our people. With his leadership capacity and experience, effective representation is guaranteed. Together with the performing Chairman of Orlu LGA, Hon. Pastor Chris Mbarie, JP, our people are set for progressive development and a positive change in narrative,” he added.

Okafor prayed for the success of the APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, expressing optimism that the party would consolidate on its achievements in Imo State.
